Location: Sacramento, CA - Hybrid

In this critical role, you will have responsibility for the overall test strategy and improving SW quality by leading the transition from a subordinate, reactive test / QA environment, eliminate silos and handoffs within QA to a proactive team that works with development teams durring design and how to integrate test planning.
You will work with Product Development and Program Delivery teams to improve quality, and efficiency by leading efforts to adopt Lean Agile methodologies, increase cycle time by driving test automation, building more robust test beds, establishing quality best practices, and training & mentor a team of ~25.
You will act as the final quality gate and approve/reject releases based on quality metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities -
Define and oversee the test strategy for all biometrics product and programs. Improve quality and reduce delivery costs by increasing our test automation portfolio. Establish KPI for test automation and act as cheerleader for Lean/Agile and test automation.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience:
Certifications, Licenses, etc:
Nice to have any of the following: QAI: Certified Software Quality Assurance (CSQA), Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST), Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ). ISTQB: Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), Certified Tester Advanced Test Manager (CTAL-TM), Certified Tester Advanced Test Analyst (CTAL-TA), Certified Tester Advanced Technical Test Analyst (CTAL-TM), Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CTAL-TAE)

Specialized Knowledge and Skills -
Language Skills:
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and support customers. Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Reasoning Skills:
A self-starter and able to recognize and resolve issues dependably and effectively. Excellent project leadership skills. Must be self-motivated with strong attention to details.
Technical Skills:
Excellent in-depth working knowledge of public cloud (primarily Azure) architectures and systems. Must be fluent in the relevant test frameworks, languages and environments.

Supervisory Responsibility, if any:
Responsible for test automation and manual test engineers spread across product development and project delivery teams. Responsible for goal setting and periodic feedback and reviews for them. Define process under which they perform their daily tasks.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $132,000 to $180,000; depending upon the selected candidate’s relevant experience, the exact salary for the role may fall outside of this range.
This role will be eligible to receive an annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.
