Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independently monitors, modifies, programs and operates the Building Automation Computer Systems, Fire Life Safety Systems, Elevator Systems and Security System.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answering radio and phone calls
  • Monitoring CCTV and conducts basic video review
  • Extensive knowledge of the CCTV (video review, cutting footage and saving/downloading)
  • Maintaining all essential Central Operations logs as required.
  • Dispatching/coordinating security/engineering/janitorial personnel.
  • Responding to alarms and occurrences and initiates emergency response.
  • Locating alarms and knows how to troubleshoot Metasys issues
  • Monitoring building elevator systems and responding to elevator alarms as required.
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of the systems and their capabilities (i.e. creating reports, journal queries, clearances, schedules, and events on C*Cure)
  • Maintaining LiveSafe
  • Audits systems and identifies when services are needed to maintain performance
  • Assisting emergency medical and fire department personnel in locating specific areas or in the operation of the fire annunciator panel when required.
  • Notifying and assisting tenants with medical and weather emergencies, fire alarms, and elevator entrapments for properties.
  • Monitoring, modifying and addressing changes to building Automation System, fire/life safety systems, and security systems (Metasys, EMS, Weather Tap, C*Cure).
  • Disabling and enabling fire safety points.
  • Working with vendors and building personnel in resolving individual system problems, as well as day to day operational problems.
  • Completing basic tenant requests.
  • Checking in/out contractors.
  • Understanding KeyWatcher (creating profiles, adding, and deleting keys, manually releasing and accounting for keys).
  • Responsible for learning procedures and protocols
  • Working with and assisting the Property Management Office, Building Personnel, and tenants in a professional and dependable manner.
  • Creating monthly reports for upper Property Management (elevator downtime reports, parking reports, fire alarm reports, lost key reports, annual card audits, contractor reports).
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, other Brookfield employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to facilitate positive relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Demonstrates regular and timely attendance and attention to detail as these are essential functions of this job. Poor attendance/tardiness are unacceptable given the necessity to staff the control center without interruption 24/7.
  • Able to work assigned shifts, including weekends, holidays and other hours as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced knowledge of or experience working with basic security and security systems.
  • High school diploma or GED is required. Two-year associate degree is preferred.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Must be able to work consistently on time as scheduled on site.
  • Have a high level of tact and discretion.
  • Self-motivated to learn new skills and increase business knowledge.
  • Experience using office machinery such as phone, fax machine, copier, two-way radio
  • Experience computers and MS Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Able to work the 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM shift
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
  • Salary type: Non-Exempt
  • Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
  • Annual Base Salary Range: $47,000 - $52,000
  • Paid Time Off (Annual): 3 weeks of vacation, 11 Company-paid holidays, sick and personal
