Islamorada Resort Collection is seeking a Social Media and Public Relations Manager to join the Commercial team. A passionate social media and public relations leader, this individual spearheads the social media strategy for the Islamorada Resort Collection, and its four resorts, as well as orchestrates media stays for top-tier journalists. The goal is to lead a robust social media and PR strategy that will result in best-in-class social media accounts, increased positive media coverage, increased social media engagement and revenue attributed to social media. As a hybrid position, this individual must be based in South Florida and willing to commute to Islamorada Resort Collection office in Islamorada, Florida at least 2-3 times a month, based on business needs.
Skills required:
Must be a confident self starter with the ability to manage a project from start to completion. Strong knowledge of social media and video editing preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role. Detail oriented, creative, personable, articulate, and a creative problem solver preferred. Desire to be a part of a great company and the drive to work for great results is a must.
- Develop editorial calendar with content for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn for four resorts and the Collection
- Manage engagement of our social media channels (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) for four resorts and the Collection
- Create relevant, creative and high-quality content for social media
- Design impactful graphics for social media as necessary
- Manage calendar of incoming influencer and journalist visits from start to finish (reservations, media alerts, amenities, itineraries, communication)
- Liaise with PR agencies and destination attractions to curate unique experiences for journalists and influencers
- Identify social media influencers and brands to strategically partner with
- Liaise with partners and/or departments to deliver social media event marketing pre-event, during the event and post-event
- Liaise between all departments to orchestrate social media content shoots as needed
- Liaise between all departments to orchestrate resort-specific experiences for journalist and influencer visits
- Host content missions to gather photography and produce videos
- Assist with journalists requests for photography, content, etc.
- Compile monthly reports
- Utilize analytics and reporting to elevate data, and determine new strategies, new content, and new campaigns
Essential:
- Proven working experience in social media or related field
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrable social media experience and social analytics tools knowledge
- Adequate knowledge of photography and videography
- Public speaking and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to network and build relationships in the community
- Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
- Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
- Hybrid role; must be based in the Florida Keys or South Florida – mileage can be expensed
- Fluent in English, bilingual a plus
