Receptionist

SeaTac Lighting & Controls – Tukwila, WA is currently looking for a self-motivated and organized individual to join our team as a receptionist who is looking to learn about the lighting industry and build a career with our company. Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual looking to build a career staring in a receptionist role. He/She/They will be a self-starter and open to taking on multiple tasks outside of the standard receptionist role, assisting our inside sales staff as needed and learning how we operate as a business. Our goal is to have this person transition into an Inside Sales Support Role within 1-2 years or as our business demands.

Job Description: Entry level, Full-Time Receptionist who will be the first point of contact for our customers representing our company and our brand.

Job Duties:

  • Greet customers at the office and on the phone
  • Answer phones, transferring to proper person or team as necessary
  • Sort mail
  • Order office supplies/food/drinks and keeping storage room and kitchen organized and clean
  • Stocking kitchen and filling fridge each morning, refilling coffee in cabinet, refilling coffee cups/lids/paper plates, etc. as needed
  • Handling all aspects of the phone system – creating/deleting new employee into system, assigning phone numbers, making sure phones are working properly.
  • Process Lunch-N-Learn Food requests from Sales Team (Admin Assistant & Natasha are backup)
  • Work with Covenant as needed on office technical issues affecting multiple people
  • Keep all technology in the office working properly in the office and contacting the appropriate vendors as needed to keep everything running
  • Changing out filters in all appliances as needed and making sure all appliances are working properly and updating warranties as needed.
  • Coordinating vendors: Keep track of/making appointments and/or gathering quotes as needed for misc. office things needing completed (cleaning team, pressure washing, etc.)
  • Add new accounts to Oasis and MML as needed
  • Add new contracts to Smartsheet
  • Each month verify expense reports and send to owners for approval, then update the Expense

Report Smartsheet

  • Serve as the back-up when the Customer Service team is overloaded

Shipping/Receiving:

  • Process deliveries received from FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.
  • Process shipments of product samples as requested by the sales team
  • Help the warehouse manager as needed with inventory and organization

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years equivalent work experience
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Have basic knowledge of math and be efficient with calculating numbers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, excellent with time-management and judgement with ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
  • Software/Computer Skills: Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with an aptitude for additional software programs.
  • Sit for up to 7 hours continuously, lift up to 50 lbs., and look at computer screen for up to 2 hours continuously

Salary Range:

  • $18/hour - $20/hour
