We are seeking a Material Handler (Night Shift).
Overview: Transport necessary raw materials to keep injection molding machine hoppers full of prepared resin.
Hours: Monday - Friday; 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Basic math skills
- Able to operate forklift
- Requires ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds
- Able to operate hand-held tools, including trimming knife, de-burring tool, jigs and fixtures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Maintain safe work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Prefer prior plastic injection molding or manufacturing experience
Material Handler Responsibilities:
- Correctly capture materials data, using blue sheets/barcode scanners and allocation module in TMM/ERP system.
- Complete allocation location reconciliation as often as possible, as each job is completed.
- Ensure all injection molding machine hoppers and barrels are full of correct, prepared resin.
- Operate forklift to transport raw resins.
- Demonstrate timely, effective communication with other team members to ensure efficient start-up and shut-down of production runs.
- Keep warehouse organized and clean of spilled resin during the shift.
- Clean up any resin spills in work areas that occur while loading material into the hoppers.
- Maintain, store, and organize all documents pertaining to material certifications and as inventory control.
- Clean hopper, press, grinder, filters, and loaders after a production run using proper equipment.
- Assist production supervisor in giving breaks to Operators as needed.
