Utility Service Worker – Collections
Public Works & Utilities
Full-time, Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $15.45/hr - $18.54/hr DOQ
This is skilled work in the maintenance, construction and repair of city utility mains and facilities. The employee in this class participates in a variety of tasks in connection with construction, maintenance and repair of the City Collection distribution system. Assignments are received in either written or oral form. Work is preformed under the general supervision of a supervisor and is checked in progress and upon completion.
Essential Job Functions
Qualifications
High school graduation or GED required. Some experience in the construction, repair and maintenance of utilities and collection facilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Florida Commercial B Driver s license. A comparable amount of education and/or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Complete the required National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within 6 months of completion of probationary period. Must have or be able to obtain a C Wastewater Technician certification within 12 months of hire in the wastewater collection division.
