NikSoft is currently providing undergraduate students enrolled in Computer Science and relevant degree programs with internship opportunities to help them apply their academic knowledge and experience to real world projects.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in programs and projects supporting government agencies.
- Research, evaluate, and develop prototype and proof of concept solutions using latest technology tools and platforms.
- Participate in technical problem solving and creation of web-based IT solutions.
- Integrate within Agile teams in supporting software development life cycle activities including business requirements analysis, technical designs, implementation, testing, and production support.
- Research, learn, and develop technology artifacts using the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) model.
- Learn and follow DOD and other federal agency cybersecurity guidelines and processes.
- Create supporting project documentation based on customer and program leadership guidelines.
- Receive training and learn latest software development tools and technologies (e.g. Salesforce, open source solutions, automation solutions, etc.), and apply these skills in building customer facing IT solutions.
Qualifications:
- Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
- Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution studying: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, IT Project Management, Data Science, Networking, Software Management (or closely related degree program).
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior with a minimum of 60 college credits completed.
- Strong interest in Information Technology and latest software development platforms.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must be able to work independently, resourcefully seek answers, and remove obstacles.
- Must have creative and critical thinking skills, and the ability to problem solve.
- Must be flexible and adaptable.
- Must have a competitive GPA/demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Must provide copies of your unofficial transcript when requested and official copies before internship start date (if selected).
- Must be a US Citizen residing within the US for the past 5 years.
