Full-time position available with the Parks and Recreation Department, Community Services Division located at 4600 E 63rd Trafficway
Salary Range: $20.48-$30.71/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

• Identifies administrative needs and processes to make recommendations for efficiency, as well as provide administrative support.
• Prepares reports, emails, memos, schedules meetings, prepares contracts, and follows them through the process of execution by using City standard templates.
• Covers payroll and requisitioning for division as needed and compiles reports as needed.
• Invoices varying Athletics partners.
• Assists with CivicRec troubleshooting, data entry, and training staff related to the registration system.
• Oversees several other programs for the division - uniform ordering, vehicle management, and organizing tracking systems to ensure compliance with city policy.

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, liberal arts or a related field and at least 3 years progressively professional experience in governmental administration or in private sector administration at the level of Administrative Assistant; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.

Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
