Summary:

CORMETECH is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and life-cycle management of technologies that clean the air of harmful pollutants and carbon dioxide (CO₂) linked to climate change. The U.S. Department of Energy has selected CORMETECH to develop solutions to capture CO₂ directly from the air (Direct Air Capture) as well as from power and industrial plant exhaust gases (Point Source Capture).

Our reputation is built on three decades of developing and delivering innovative environmental catalysts and CO₂ adsorbers, the building blocks of emissions control and carbon capture systems. Our products and services make it possible to balance global energy and infrastructure demands with the need to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides, mercury, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, and CO₂.

We are currently seeking R&D Technicians to join our team and advance carbon capture technology!

Responsibilities:

• Work in a laboratory.
• Synthesize adsorber material samples for testing evaluations.
• Obtain, analyze, and report testing data using material characterization and sorption instruments (e.g., TGA, DSC, elemental analysis, SEM-EDS, DRIFTS, PV, core testers, single brick testers).
• Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance plan actions on the instruments.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists in project work.

Essential Skills:

• Safety focus.
• Associates degree in science, engineering, or technical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry or equivalent, is preferred.
• Experience working in an academic or industrial laboratory using analytical instrumentation.
• Communication. Attention to detail. Organized. Mechanical aptitude. Able to resolve issues.
• General computer ability. Intermediate MS Excel experience.
• Teamwork.
