The Quality Assurance & Data Specialist assists in the organization s quality assurance, compliance, and data management activities for the Career Development Services team. This person conducts reviews and documents service audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and quality audit standards. The Quality Assurance & Data Specialist is also responsible for preparing service billing, and managing the CRM database used for mission services delivery; this includes account setup, and report and workflow management.

This position will operate out of Goodwill s Home Office located at 1235 S. Eugene St., Greensboro, NC.

Essential Functions: To be successful, the Quality Assurance & Data Specialist must be very organized, able to multi-task, have strong computer/productivity software skills, and excel at both written and verbal communication. Key responsibilities and activities:

  • Reviews, inspects, and audits a variety of records to assess compliance with processes and quality standards.
  • Collects, maintains, and organizes data from multiple sources.
  • Tracks, reports, and follows up on audit findings and prepares trend analyses for management review.
  • Analyzes data to identify process improvement opportunities from audit results.
  • Develops and provides technical assistance and training to staff on quality assurance matters.
  • Monitors changes in regulatory, funding, and accreditation requirements.
  • Supports implementation of new and revised internal controls.
  • Maintains CRM database, including creation of reports and workflows to meet department needs.
  • Develops departmental scorecards and supports business planning efforts.
  • Creates department invoices and billing records.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Additional secondary education or training in business management or related field preferred.
  • 2-years experience in a related field required.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification and/or data management training highly preferred.
  • Excellent skills and understanding of office technology. Must have strong skills in use of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel. Pre-employment skills assessments will be utilized.
  • Excellent researching, organizational, presentation, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to independently negotiate competing priorities and facilitate productive relationships with diverse teams.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.


Hours: Position is full-time, averaging 40 hrs/week. Work is generally conducted Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm,

Salary & Benefits: Hourly, non-exempt position, $18-$20/hr depending on experience and education.
