About the Position:

As a Patient Care Advocate at CareXM, you will act as an extension of a variety of healthcare facilities, from home health and hospice, to doctor and dental offices, and even hospitals. At CareXM, you will be the voice on the other end of the line, helping patients and medical personnel, based on the settings of the facility they are calling; whether they need a simple office message sent, prescriptions refilled, appointments scheduled, or their doctor paged for a medically urgent situation, YOU will be there to provide professional, friendly, and compassionate care to each and every person you come into contact with.
In this fully remote position, you will work from home using your personal computer with an Intel or AMD processor (Windows 10/11), or MacBook ( Monterey OSX preferred) (Chromebooks are not compatible with the programs we use), as well as your hardwired, high-speed internet (minimum 25mbps download and 5mbps upload) to assist our callers with their needs. The programs for the position will be installed on your personal computer by the CareXM IT team who will ensure everything is installed prior to day one of your 2-week training program start date.
There are various full time shifts to choose from and training classes start soon. Please be prepared to work at least one weekend shift per week and all MAJOR HOLIDAYS which occur on a day you’re scheduled to work.
Pay - $13 per/hr. with individual performance bonus opportunity.
Required qualifications:
  • 6 months of customer service experience
  • Dedicated and Secure workspace
  • Basic Computer skills such as data entry and ability to navigate internet
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Office (Outlook, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Word, etc.)
  • Experience answering incoming calls, while delivering and maintaining high quality customer service
  • Experience reading and following written protocol provided via computer monitor
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training
  • Ability to maintain positive and professional work relationships with customers and team members at CareXM
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to speak clearly and concisely with a pleasant phone voice
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • High School diploma or equivalent, healthcare administrative certificates are helpful
Minimum Computer Specifications:
PC Hardware:
  • 1.5 GB Available Free Space on Hard Drive (measured on the C:\ Drive)
  • 6 GB RAM or higher
  • CPU* 2.5 GHz or higher.
  • Working Sound output
  • Available USB port (for USB Headset) after Mouse and Keyboard are connected.
PC Software:
  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system
  • Apple OSX operating systems Monterey preferred, Big Sur, Ventura
  • Internet Browser: Internet Explorer 10.0 or higher, Microsoft Edge, Chrome
  • No Chrome OS/Chromebook for any employee
Internet Service Requirements:
  • Internet access provided by a cable, DSL or fiber provider
  • Satellite broadband and Cellular internet are NOT permitted
  • Minimum Download speed of 25mbps and minimum Upload speed of 5mbps
  • Reasonable proximity to home internet router for hardwired ethernet connection
  • In Home Wi-Fi permitted if Download speed is 50mbps & minimum upload speed is 8mbps or higher
