SALESPERSON JOB DESCRIPTION
SALES OVERVIEW
We use a consultative selling process to help warehouses, distribution centers and manufacturers improve their productivity, capacity, accuracy and efficiency. The typical sales process includes identifying their needs and goals, analyzing their data, facilities and processes, then creating a plan and designs that will meet their needs with an acceptable return on investment. We sell them the equipment, have it installed and manage the project. Most projects include material handling equipment and automation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish relationships with key decision-makers for medium to large warehouse distribution companies
Analyze client data
Utilize and maintaining Salesforce CRM
Provide weekly sales reports detailing activities
Reach out to past customers for new sales opportunities
Work closely with engineering, project managers, and other internal departments to ensure orders flow smoothly and project success
Manage the entire sales cycle from prospect to delivery
Hunt and farm for new business utilizing Zoominfo and other lead generation tools
Consistent prospect follow up - average sales cycle 9-12 months
QUALIFICATIONS
A degree which includes industrial engineering or process engineering is helpful. Architectural, mechanical or structural engineering is also helpful.
4-yr college degree from an accredited institution or 6 years experience
3-5 years trackable sales experience preferably in capital equipment, material handling or engineering sales
Results - oriented and self motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset; must have a strong work ethic and a self-starter mentality
Exceptional business communication, sales, and presentation skills
Prior experience in capital sales, supply chain, distribution, warehouse or eCommerce is a plus
SALARY
The salary range for this position is between 65-75k depending on experience plus significant uncapped commission on every sale.
