Job Description: Line Cook - San Mateo Cafe Team
Reports To: Executive Chef, Sous Chef
Andro’s Rostilj is looking for highly motivated and talented Cooks in San Mateo, CA that are passionate about food, learning, and working with a team of professionals. We're revolutionizing the way high-end food is prepared and delivered to corporate clients. We believe that good food should taste amazing and be convenient, diverse, and healthy. Primary job responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare food and meal components for daily service by meeting quality and safety guidelines
- Support the Executive Chef and Kitchen team with production of diverse menus in accordance with Andros Rostilj and the client’s standards
- Fill in for other BOH staff as needed in situations of absence
- Follow Recipes and Ingredients lists
- Adhere to Company standards and standard food safety practices
- Conduct, Trash removal/Discarded Product/Weighing Leftovers
- Keep dishes organized, clean , and neat at all times
- Sweeping and Mopping of Floors
- Other duties as assigned by management
- - Assist with specific client Action Station prep, production, and on-site execution.
- Adhere to Company standards and standard food safety practices.
- Dress Code, Food Quality Standards, Food Temperatures, Station Cleanliness, Timeliness, Sense of Urgency, Professional Conduct, Trash removal/Discarded Product/Weighing Leftovers
- Prep/BOH and Loading/Receiving team support; Assist with daily kitchen prep work and loading/receiving as needed
Qualifications:
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certificate
- 1-2 years valid experience a plus
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout entire shift
- Must be able to move continuously inside the offices to kitchens and client sites
- Must be able to constantly position self to maintain equipment and supplies
- Must be able to lift 40+ lbs throughout the shift
- Valid driver’s license and qualified under our company insurance policy
- Full COVID19 vaccination status per client and company requirements
- Provide operations support during open hours of operations for the client and team members; requires ability to work during flex shifts of 4-5 days/week, with 8+ hours daily; Be able to work 8+ hours/day
