Life Science Solutions Group – Licensing and Commercial Supply (LCS)

The impact of the role.

This role will directly impact our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner and safer by identifying, evaluating and executing business solutions for our partners. Our focus is on driving growth by supplying Genetic and Clinical Division technologies to diagnostics and life science customers, on a commercial supply basis for the development & manufacturing of their technologies.

Position responsibilities

  • Build and execute go-to-market strategies that align to those of our business unit partners
  • Grow strategic plans for key customers, and market segments to ensure long term growth and profitability of the LCS business
  • Broker multiyear, multimillion-dollar commercial supply contracts with key customers in the diagnostic and life science markets
  • Develop and implement processes and standard methodologies including CRM, forecasting, planning, compensation, and sales process
  • Facilitate sophisticated global deals and projects between customers and our internal support organizations while acting as an internal champion to ensure accurate execution
  • Create/implement territory plan and align the revenue targets and goals to the objectives of the Genetic and Clinical businesses.
  • Role reports into Global commercial Director.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in any life science with an advanced degree and/or MBA preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience, including lead development, negotiation of supply agreements, sales funnel management, forecasting accuracy, product development/commercialization and competitive market research.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead customer teams both internally and externally. Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and slide presentations required.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of company employees as well as frequent interaction with potential partners/alliances.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proven business development technical skills (term sheet creation, IP review, profit and loss modeling, quality agreements, supply agreements)
  • Experience in navigating exciting sales and contract negotiations, alliance management and/or cross-functional team leadership experience.
  • Prior experience in human IVD market strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; attention to detail; experience developing financial models and drafting term sheets and contract provisions.
  • Track record of successfully working with a variety of parties (internal and external) to resolve complex issues and build outstanding solutions.
  • Travel up to 50%

The salary range estimated for this position is $130,000 - $160,000. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
