The Role:
This new role will be part of Moderna’s Manufacturing Science and Technology (MST) team responsible for process monitoring and operational support to ensure the robust End-to-End production of our new mRNA Personalized Cancer Vaccine (PCV). This individual will collaborate toward the development and maintenance of digital tools for process data contextualization, monitoring, and analysis, use these tools to support complex investigations and continuous process improvement, and train staff members on how utilize these tools.

Here’s What You’ll Do:
Support the adaptation of existing process analytics tools to support PCV through cross-functional collaboration focused on requirements, design, and maintenance

Develop and maintain statistical models to support Manufacturing Sciences operations such as statistical process control, multivariate analysis, and process analytics

Use digital tools to support manufacturing investigations, operational excellence initiatives, and required documentation (e.g., regulatory filing) through data procurement, advanced data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization

Support data processing into data analytics software and analysis for routine automated reporting of process performance

Follow-up on requests, issues, and projects and report statuses to manager/working teams

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Ph.D. with 3+ years or BS/MS with 5+ years of combined experience in biopharmaceutical operations or data analytics; Degree in Biochemical, Chemical or Biochemistry preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP’s and experience in providing technical support in a cGMP manufacturing environment. Knowledge of bioprocessing including purification of protein and/or nucleic acids preferred.

Previous experience in developing or utilizing data monitoring tools to support investigations and to identify opportunities for improvement. Knowledge of Statistica, Spotfire, JMP, or PI preferred.

Technical agility and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrixed environment.
