VA-Com Online Employment Agency is urgently in need of Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).

Job Role:

Assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists. Monitor the use of alternative communication devices and systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Possess a valid California License as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Associates degree or Bachelors within the field of Communicative Disorders or like area of study. One year of work experience in a Speech Language Pathology Assistant position. Experience in working with children with various disabilities.

CREDENTIALS AND/OR SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Has a solid understanding of speech and language development. Possess the knowledge and ability to assist in the delivery of services under the direction and developed by the LSH Specialist (SLP with California licensure). Demonstrates the ability to document student performance during services. Displays the ability to assist the licensed therapist with speech, language, and hearing screenings. Possess a valid California Driver’s License.

Salary: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
