Social Work Case Manager I
Education: Three (3) years of postsecondary education within a social work program. *Must graduate from an accredited social work program within one (1) year of hire. Desirable Experience: Experience in hospital case management or healthcare.
License: Must obtain Alaska Social Work License within one (1) year of graduation from an accredited social work program.
Certification: TEAM/BERT Certification within 90 days of hire.
Career Ladder: The incumbent is required to advance to the Social Work Case Manager II level once they obtain licensure and the required experience to meet SWCM II minimum qualifications. Advancement to the SWCM II level is a condition of employment.
Social Work Case Manager II
Education: Graduate of an accredited social work program. Completes annual educational requirements.
License: Alaska Social Work License at time of appointment or within 90 days of hire if licensed in another state.
Certification: TEAM/BERT Certification within 90 days of hire.
Experience: One (1) year of experience working as a social worker in the area of health care, behavioral health, or substance abuse treatment.
Social Work Case Manager III
Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work.
License: Alaska Social Work License. Preferred License: LCSW.
Certification: TEAM/BERT Certification within 90 days of hire. Desirable Certification: Accredited Case Manager.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience working as a social worker in the area of health care, behavioral health, or substance abuse treatment.
Substitution: A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and four (4) years of experience as a social worker in the area of healthcare, behavioral health, or substance abuse treatment may substitute for the required education and experience.
