RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with Company standards and responsible for overseeing daily operations of establishments, including staff relations, menu item production, preparation, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting, food preparation and quality, and financial accountability
- Cultivate leadership through modeling, strategic communication and mentorship
- Ensure highest level of customer service is executed across locations
- Help lead in training, development, and communication with all team members to ensure they properly understand and meet job expectations
- Enforce Company policies with management team/direct reports and team members through written and oral communication in a timely and effective manner
- Under the supervision of The Director of Operations, the general manager will monitor sales performance through the analysis of sales reports and create action plans to address concerns
- Identify potential or existing operational problems and work with The Director of Operations to initiate, develop, and implement appropriate solutions and measure results
- Perform general clerical functions within the restaurants as needed, which may include payroll, scheduling, analyzing operating statements and ad hoc projects
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years in an operational, Restaurant General Manager role within the hospitality industry
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, inventory control, and employee scheduling
- Ability to plan, prioritize and delegate workload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgment and superior decision-making skills
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule to meet business demands, including weekends nights and holidays
- Experience overseeing a union workforce preferred
