Required heavy lifting and outdoor physical activity. There is bending, squatting, lifting, moving and stepping up holding a 70lb. kayak. You will do these motions up to 40 times per tour. Each kayak is 12ft long and weighs 70lbs. Must be hospitable and customer oriented. Must be comfortable on the water (in a calm area) with paddling and judging conditions. Must be an effective vocal communicator. Must have a good driving record. Our kayak tour guides will operate kayak tours with up to 15 guests. Tour guides are responsible for driving the company vehicle with trailer attached and unloading it at the launch site. The kayak tour guide will pick up and move kayaks and set them up for the tour by themselves. The tour guide will greet the guests as they arrive for their reservation and conduct a brief orientation before taking them out on a guided tour. The tour guide is responsible for launching each kayak and guiding the tour enthusiastically and safely while identifying wildlife and elaborating on the surroundings. The kayak tour guide will also receive each guest and kayak as they return and undo all kayaks and reload them into the trailer. We pay $75-$100per tour plus tips. Tour guides will work about 4 hours per tour. The tour itself is 2 hours with an hour of setup and an hour of breakdown. We do tours 7 days a week in the busy season and have multiple tours a day. We are looking for someone who can do at least 2 tours a day 3 days a week.
