The role you’ll contribute:
Monitor compliance with hospital policies and procedures, crime deterrence, and maintains a safe and secure environment for employees, patients and visitors. The position is highly visible to the public and must be executed in a professional, courteous manner. He/She reports to the Director of Security.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Provides physical security for the entire hospital complex including perimeter.
- The Security Officer supports the Hospital Service Management Program.
- Provides Security assistance to hospital staff, Patients, and Services and visitors.
- Supports minor maintenance duties after normal business hours.
- Investigates and follows up on all incidents within the hospital or property and completes the appropriate report.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Basic knowledge of security operations and hospital safety requirements.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Security or Law Enforcement
- Class “D” security license
- State of Florida class “E” drivers’ license
- International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hire
- Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training and cerification required or must obtain within 3 months of hire
