Job Description


This is a hands-on position and perfect for someone looking to make a name for themselves in the agricultural equipment industry! This role will require an investment in time on the front-end to both learn the product line, as well as learn and understand the complex dynamics of the ever-changing agricultural industry, that we are a part of. The purpose of the Sales Assistant is to assist the Sales Manager with day-to-day responsibilities, while training to become a sales representative. This person will directly assist in all of the functions of the sales process, including incoming and outgoing calls to clients and vendors, email correspondence, identifying customer solutions, input and completion of sales orders, and follow-up on customer transactions.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Contact customers to verify details need to complete sales
  • Assist in accurately filling out customer detail forms
  • Assist directly with packaging and sending shipments (as needed/requested).
  • Collaborates effectively with others for the success of the department; promotes a free flow of information & ideas across departments
  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates
  • Assist with coordinating and/or managing sales activities
  • Monitoring the performance of the sales team
  • Documenting/Recording Information (Maintain operational records, Prepare forms or applications)
  • Exhibits a positive attitude
  • Promotes superior customer service
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
  • Assist with planning, presenting, and/or facilitating sales presentations and meetings
  • Read trade journals and professional literature to stay informed on trends, innovations, and changes that affect marketing
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales
  • Regularly attending sales meetings and training sessions
  • Performing all duties of the sales manager in cases of absence or emergency

Qualifications
  • Proficient ability to interact with computer systems, including CRM platforms, internet-based applications, Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, & Outlook. Experience with content creation software (photography, videography, etc.) is a plus.

  • Ability to work well in a high-pressure, demanding environment
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle status, with current driver’s license, and ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills

Additional Information

  • Full Time
Compensation:
  • Type: Hourly
o $13 - $16 / hour.
Hours/Work Week:
  • 40-45 hours
o Monday - Friday
o Saturday (as needed)
  • Customer Deadlines and Agriculture Seasonality may require additional availability
  • Working out of office will be necessary from time to time
o A company laptop will be supplied
