Job Type: Full Time Monday - Friday

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 Hourly; The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).

Our rapidly growing facility is seeking dedicated individuals to be part of our Research Department. Our goal is to conduct meaningful clinical research activities focused on advancing the medical sciences and to improve the human condition. We are looking to add someone talented and hard-working to our already amazing staff. You will be part of a team of Research Assistants who are passionate about the work they do and the impact they create. In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with study participants, conduct recruitment screenings, health assessments, interviews and/or collect participant information and data.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Conduct participant recruitment and screening calls over the phone
  • Assist the clinical research coordinator to ensure clinical trials are conducted and reported in accordance with all applicable protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • Instruct participants on the use of various devices, applications, and other study materials
  • Collection of vital signs, blood, urine samples, nasal swabs, and saliva samples.
  • Conduct questionnaires or forms regarding previous medical history, medication history, informed consent, and HIPAA.
  • Administer safety-screening questions by phone and in-person.
  • Ensure data collection is conducted using standardized methods and administered to study participants in their language of preference.
  • Schedule and confirm study visits, follow-up calls, and unscheduled visits.
  • Prepare materials daily for study participant visits.
  • Adhere to data security practices to protect privacy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain quality and confidentiality of data collected and follow data entry protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain and update study participant records; contact information, medical history, etc.
  • Document study participant medical events/hospitalizations, and record life events.
  • Maintain and keep record of needed office supplies and communicate with purchasing managers when restocks are needed.
  • Candidates ideally must be organized, self driven, and willing to learn.
  • Other administrative duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • College education preferred, but not required
  • Previous work experience in a research setting and/or in the field of community health research preferred
  • Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certified
  • Must be able to lift roughly 30 lbs safely; about the size of a large dog
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing and speaking)

Additional Skills:

  • Experience in using Clinical Systems such as CTMS (Clinical Trial Management System), preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements
  • Aligning our overall business objectives with performance

Additional Applicant Information:

  • This position may have the responsibility for driving 2-3 times per week which will require access to reliable transportation and proof of valid CDL and auto insurance.
  • This position will remain open until filled
  • A background check (including a criminal records check) and Drug Test must be completed satisfactorily
