Sidney Peak Ranch is a luxury community ranch located in the South Valley outside of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The ranch consists of nearly 1500 acres, most of which is in a conservation easement. Additionally, there is an onsite Equestrian Center that includes an indoor and outdoor riding arena, 32 heated stalls, outdoor paddocks, 6 miles of riding trails and a cross-country jumping course.

Job Description
Sidney Peak Ranch is looking to hire a full time Ranch Hand to participate in the day-to-day operations of the ranch and equestrian center.

Responsibilities

· Horse experience required

· Equipment Operation and Maintenance

o Routine Maintenance

· Fence maintenance

· Routine Maintenance to all ranch facilities

o Repairs

o Electrical

o Plumbing

· Equestrian Center assistance

o Feeding and watering of horses

o Blanketing

o Turn-out/Turn-in

o Watering

· Equestrian facility maintenance including cleaning, sweeping, dusting, washing, painting, mowing, trimming

· Not a cowboy job.

Requirements

· Basic equine husbandry knowledge

· Physically able to shovel snow, chip ice, move hay, fence posts

· Must be able to lift 60 lbs on occasion

· Experienced Equipment Operation

· Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

· Desire for the cleanliness of work environment

· Excellent time management skills

· Strong work ethic

· Must be able to work by yourself and stay productive

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
