Although our consultants maintain the ability to work on different types of projects within varying areas of the bank, client demand for individuals with significant Regulatory Reporting experience requires our next hire to possess experience in leading change initiatives that respond to new regulations. Experience planning, resourcing and assessing impact of new initiatives at the appropriate point in the regulation life cycle is critical for success in this role.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience managing medium to large scale projects in the financial services industry.
  • 5+ years project management experience working on regulatory and change management initiatives at a top tier consulting firm, investment bank, or Fortune 500 company.
  • Organize, manage, and prioritize the development team’s projects, including resource planning and allocation; risk and issue management and milestone reporting throughout the software development life cycle, for both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Performs feasibility analysis, scopes project, recommends alternative solutions, project strategy, and deliverable prioritization.
  • Thorough knowledge of OTC derivative and capital markets products and industry trade repositories (DTCC, GTR, etc.).
  • Exposure to managing projects for large banks in a global markets space and familiarity with Regulatory Transaction Reporting (TR): CFTC, Dodd-Frank, EU EMIR, and MIFID.
  • Ability to interface between the business and technology teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders in IT, Operations, Product Control and the Business.
  • Must be able to translate new regulatory plans/policies into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory and Operational Risk management best practices.
  • Experience in implementing a consistent and efficient regulatory reporting process with defined accountabilities for the entire end-to-end process.
  • Technical Expertise: The PM should be able to communicate with Transaction Reporting SME's to work effectively with the teams and to have a better understanding of the project’s inherent risks and potential roadblocks.
  • Create and maintain project plans for all major projects and track status against agreed milestones. Drive technical teams to resolve project issues; meet project deadlines and deliver against all project requirements.
  • Ability to reinforce control framework and standard expectations, roles and responsibilities, across an entire change management program.
  • Manage clear expectations by establishing clear timelines, milestones, and providing transparency on risks, dependencies, and issues through status reporting.
  • Understanding of the different project methodologies: Agile Project Methodology, Six Sigma, or Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Management (Master’s/MBA preferred).

BIP provides a reasonable range of compensation for our roles. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, level of experience, and knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
