We are looking for Contract Carriers/Delivery Drivers for In Home Delivery out of Brooklyn Park, MN.
Local routes (No Overnight Travel) , We offer competitive revenue potential with route guarantees.
Potential to gross over $145,000/yr.
Responsibilities
- Deliver appliances to residential customers in a timely manner with a focus on customer service.
- The Delivery team will off-load materials at each stop, inspect, deliver products to the customers specification and at times install (appliances).
- Comply with the Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state and federal requirements and Contract Facilitation expectations, policies and procedures for the Fleet; maintains a clean and safe truck by inspecting for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Report all incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage to the TopHAT OCM.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Perform all contract obligations as scheduled by the TopHAT OCM or Dispatch and assist other drivers to meet customer needs.
- Notify Dispatch / TopHAT OCM of any problems that may arise on the route.
- Follow your route dispatch and complete all end of day documentation / check-out process.
Requirements:
- Must have a 26' Box Truck(Owned or rented) with a 2-man delivery team.
- Valid Driver’s License (operating a vehicle between 16,000 lbs. and 26,000 lbs.)
- Must be able to pass background , drug test and MVR check
- Outstanding customer service and Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience with in-home delivery
- Experience and knowledge of appliances installation a must.
- Must be able to work independently and manage time appropriately to meet deadlines
- Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs. or more
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)'
