About the job:
This is a full-time position. As a mechanic, you will assist in the assembly a build of various machines, conveyors, and assemblies. You will work with the production team manager to fully assemble case packing lines and other auxiliary equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Read assembly drawings to build mechanical assemblies.
- Use necessary mechanics tools for assembly.
- Read floorplan layout drawings to assist in setting up case packing lines in our Waco facility.
- Communicate with engineers on assembly and any issues during assembly. · Keep a clean workspace.
- Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry.
Minimum qualifications: ·
- High school diploma or GED.
- Skilled mechanical experience.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- General communication and teamwork skills
- Initiative in consulting with subject matter experts from engineering, support, and product management teams.
- Provide basic mechanics tools.
Preferred qualifications: ·
- General experience with case packing equipment
- General experience with food production facilities
- Associate degree in a mechanical or robotics or a related field
- Takes initiative in improving company products.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly: Starting pay is commensurate with relevant work experience.
