Scanlan International, Inc. has an exciting opportunity to join our company as a Marketing Coordinator. This position is based out of our corporate office south of downtown St. Paul, MN. We welcome an in-office work environment, Monday - Friday. Scanlan Group is a family-owned medical device company specializing in the highest quality surgical instruments since 1921.

The Marketing Coordinator is a member of the 6 person Marcom team and is responsible for providing support for the various marketing functions of the company. This support includes new and existing product launches, marketing promotions, social media, communications (in-house and sales force), training support, and other special projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

50% -- Coordinate various marketing functions:

  • Support the development of electronic and printed marketing materials including copy development, proofing/editing processes, regulatory compliance, vendor research and selection, purchasing authorization, scheduling, logistical coordination, inventory, and record/file maintenance.
  • Support the development and processing of communications on various Social Media platforms including planning, idea generation, scheduling, photo/copy development, posting, tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist with the development of correspondence, plans, and reports including typing, proofing, and routing communications, letters, and miscellaneous correspondence.
  • Coordinate various marketing programs including bid collection, purchase order preparation, time scheduling, proofing copy, press proof, color correction, paper selection, and cost control.
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties in support of marketing area and other areas as requested.
  • Maintain and organize files on all marketing projects for the Scanlan Group of Companies.
  • Prepare materials for managers for in-house training of salesforce.

25% -- Provide support for the marketing/promotional needs

  • Monitor, maintain and order promotional/printed materials including brochures, catalogs & flyers.
  • Prepare and process promotional and informational mailings/correspondence.
  • Maintain and organize promotional listings/advertising
  • Assist in the development and placement of promotional listings including pre-meeting promotions, public relations, etc.
  • Assist in the placement and scheduling of advertising
  • Maintain log/file of listings for meetings and publications.
  • Assist in the writing and proofing of marketing projects.
  • Assist in the development, proofreading, and editing of copy for various marketing materials including catalogs, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and sales support materials.

25% -- Assist in a variety of marketing support for the department

  • Maintain documentation files with accurate information supporting established work instructions.
  • Assist in numerous unspecified marketing projects as they arise. Due to the unpredictable deadline-oriented nature of the Marketing Department, it is necessary to be flexible with time and scheduling so as to accommodate all project needs effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

· 4+ years in a marketing support role

· Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.

· Superb writing and proofreading skills

· Attention to detail

· Good communication skills

· Ability to juggle multiple tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
