Information about the Company: Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. Immediately hiring for Machine Packers for our manufacturing plant in Mount Pleasant, PA.
Machine Packer Pay/Schedule:
- $15.05/hr + shift premium for 2nd shift $0.20 / $0.25/hr for 3rd shift.
- 2nd shift – 3pm – 11pm / 3rd shift 11pm – 7am
- Schedule is Mon-Fri with Saturdays required during busy season/business needs
- Pay will increase to $15.52/hr + shift premium following 75 days of hire if candidate progresses successfully.
Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties:
- Loads paper on to automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines; pack finished product.
- Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
- Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
- May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift.
- Other duties as assigned/required.
Machine Packer Requirements/Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
- Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.
- Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills
Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment: -
- Maintain a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
- Mental alertness; Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects.
- Exposure to arm/wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.).
- Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.
