Hiland Child Care Center is looking for a qualifed lead teacher to join our team. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with children in a child care setting or hold a CDA/Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Education or related Human Services Field.

Responsibilities
- Develop a careful and creative program suitable for infants/toddlers
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, singing songs, doing art, learning shapes, colors, numbers, starting to recognize letters, etc)
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and learn how to navigate the world around them.
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Track children’s progress and report to parents with conferences 3 times/year
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Collaborate with other educators and work together as a team
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
- Certification in child CPR/First Aid
- BSc/BA in education or relevant field
- Previous experience in Early Childhood Education
