Position Summary:

The Landscaping Technician will be an integral member of a regional landscaping team. Responsible for groundskeeping, the landscaping technician will safely operate equipment and follow the direction of the Crew Lead to ensure CSS fulfills service obligations.


Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for vegetation maintenance and weed abatement on solar PV power plant grounds with services including
  • Mowing
  • Herbicide application
  • String trimming
  • Grading, seeding, and erosion repair
  • Maintain and repair landscaping equipment and vehicles as needed
  • Provide timely Field Service Reports back to Operations staff for delivery to client
  • Assist the electrical services teams and special projects teams as needed
  • Ensure premium client service and excellence in groundskeeping management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience operating and maintaining equipment including
  • Zero turn mowers
  • Tractors
  • Mini-excavators
  • Compact track loaders
  • String trimmers
  • Bushhogs
  • Ability to safely and routinely strap, bind, chain, and tow a loaded 30’ gooseneck trailer
  • Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record in order to operate a company vehicle

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds independently and frequently
  • Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk short distances for 8-10 hours a day

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold
