The Rogosin Institute (RI) is an independent not-for-profit medical care and research organization affiliated with NewYork Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine. Rogosin is one of the premier centers for the diagnosis and management of kidney disease in the country. The Institute also treats patients with diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders and cancer and conducts research in these areas.

The Immunogenetics & Transplantation Center (IGT) at the Rogosin Institute offers exceptional opportunities for professional growth, excellent remuneration, a highly collegial work situation and is located in the best part of Manhattan, in New York City.

IGT scope of services continue to expand and we currently support 19 solid organ transplant programs. We are seeking qualified and dedicated technologists for full-time positions covering the evening and night shifts to further optimize service.

In the Serology Division of IGT, the laboratory technologists will be responsible for performing:

• Complement dependent cytotoxicity crossmatch
• Flow cytometry crossmatch
• Solid phase HLA antibody screening
• Confirmatory ABO blood group typing

In the Genomics Division of IGT, the Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for performing:

• HLA Class I and Class II typing using molecular techniques including Next Generation Sequencing

Candidates must possess a baccalaureate or higher degree in the major of Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, the Physical Sciences or Mathematics.

We prefer candidates with a valid NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License. Candidates with a valid NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License restricted to histocompatibility and other enthusiastic individuals with histocompatibility expertise gained in NY State or other States will also be considered.
