Front Desk Receptionist

We are looking for a bubbly receptionist with warm enthusiasm!

Schedule: 8:30am- 5pm (Mon- Fri), Saturdays 8.45am to noon or 1pm once or twice a month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet visitors, patients, providers, and other clinic staff.
  • Serves as a point of reference for everyone who needs an assistant in the clinic.
  • Ensure that patient medical records and important office files are kept up to date
  • In charge of all office mailing services, incoming mail, outcoming mail, and ensuring timely mailing of medical notices, bills, etc. to patients and businesses
  • Maintain inventory for medical and office supply stock (and prepare budget for purchasing)
  • Attend reception desk and greet guests as they arrive
  • Attend reception phone and route calls to the proper office
  • All other administrative/clerical duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Bubbly and contagiously happy personality
  • Polite, caring, and warm personality that can cater to everyone
  • Considerate and pleasing yet professional to visitors/patients/providers/staff
  • Able to multitask and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Able to work in Houston, TX
  • Authorized to work in US

Abilities:

  • Able and willing to work both front desk and back office
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to appropriately interact with patients, families, staff, and others
  • Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and direct the work of others. Ability to communicate clearly

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Houston, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
