Powerboat Services is a highly respected south Florida boat repair shop in need of a full time, experienced Marine Rigger. We are seeking individuals with a strong work ethic and a positive “can-do” attitude. We will train the right candidates who are team players. Candidates need to be versatile and experienced in all aspects of marine rigging including hanging outboard engines, installing instruments & electronics, running fuel lines & control cabling to PDI’ing engines. This position is year-round with hours from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Unpack, hang and rig brand new outboard engines
• Wire ignition system, lights and instrument panels
• Install accessories such as radios and marine electronics
• Operate a hydraulic jack or fork lift as needed.
• Complete work within the established timeframe
• Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer’s guidelines
• Maintain tools in good condition and according to guidelines
• Maintain and keep current with all certifications
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements for All Applicants:

• 3+ years of marine rigging experience
• Must have own tools
• Current Florida driver's license & a clean driving record
• Forklift driving experience
• Boat operating knowledge a plus
• All applicants must pass background and drug test
