Scope of Position:
The Engineering Intern will support the design, business development, and specialist engineering roles as they plan, model, and analyze the performance of large-scale solar PV projects. The Engineering Intern will report to the Sr. Director - Engineering. This is a temporary, full-time position for Spring-Summer or Summer-Fall with a five-month minimum duration. This position will be located in our Columbia, MD, office; local candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Use MS Excel, MS Word, and Chrome browser tools to accomplish tasks in support of design, business development, and specialist engineering roles.
- Participate in and contribute to team meetings and problem solving.
- Learn about and participate in the engineering design lifecycle.
- Document own work according to prudent engineering practice, applying sound judgement and clear written and verbal expression.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a four-year degree program in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related.
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing work in Renewable Energy as a career.
