Structall Building Systems Inc. is a Manufacturer and Distributor of Structural Insulated Panels (SIP’s) and related aluminum patio building products. The Corporate office is located in Oldsmar Florida with additional facilities in Lakeland Florida, Baton Rouge Louisiana, San Antonio Texas and Newland NC.

In this role the Director of Distribution will oversee all product related functions including receiving, warehousing and outbound functions of our Lakeland based distribution facility. The Director of Distribution is also directly responsible for inventory control, oversight on labor, safety/OSHA compliance, facility and machine maintenance, along with the overall development of both processes and people.

The Director of Distribution will evaluate, analyze and continue to implement current policies, strategies, goals and metrics to achieve the vision for the company. Strong communication skills are important, the ideal candidate will work with a variety of departments daily, including third parties, purchasing and logistics, including some vendors as well. There will be times with direct communication with customers in some situations, so customer service skills are important. Always ensure that distribution goals are met for both customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, and the growth of the company, as well as solve problems regarding fulfillment, operational efficiency, and generating profits.

Negotiation skills and the ability to work in a fast pace, high pressure environment is a must. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of working daily in one or all the supply chain functions combined with experience serving in a management capacity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship, education, support, motivation and direction to management and direct reports by defining goals and providing KPI’s for each team
• Work with distribution teams to design processes/standards and work with the managers on a plan to enforce and monitor compliance.
• Review and assist the managers in assessing workload, dealing with situations that require additional resources, and HR related situations
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets for warehouse and distribution in conjunction with HR Manager in regards to efficiencies with regards to labor, wage and productivity metrics
• Work with sales, production and purchasing teams to evaluate inventory and throughput capacity requirements
• Oversee all Inventory Control functions, processes, and operations including but not limited to stock rotation, weekly cycle counts and monthly inventory.
• Evaluate, analyze, develop and continue to implement current standard operating procedures and reporting and design processes to increase inventory accuracy and team productivity
