Job Summary: Responsible for supervising, nurturing, and caring for children typically from ages 18 months to 5 years old, before the child enters kindergarten. Welcomes children each day, provides meals, performs crafts and activities, changes diapers, and ensures children behave well when in contact with other children.
Job Responsibilities:
· Responsible for well-being, safety, health, education and peer interactions of children
· Responsible for health hygiene of children including changing diapers and soiled clothes as needed
· Assist in preparation, serving and clean up of all meals and snacks
· Assist children in hand washing and clean up throughout the day
· Supervision of children at playtime including inside and outside areas
· Supervise and assist children during instruction times
· Responsible for preparation of any craft related project
· Responsible for greeting children and parents and morning checks to include reporting on any health or physical injuries the child has upon arrival
· Responsible for maintaining a clean classroom, bathroom and kitchen
· Must have friendly and pleasant attitude with children, parents and staff
· Responsible for enforcing Center disciplinary policies
· Responsible for administering medicine as directed by Center’s policy and documentation of this administration
· Responsible for monitoring of assigned nap time areas
· Supervise and assist during circle time and school programs
· Responsible to be flexible for any additional assigned duties by the Director
