Position: Dental Hygienist
Location: Kaimuki, Oahu, HI
Experience: Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist (or similar role) is required
Education: Diploma in Dental Hygiene; Master's is a plus
Type: Full-time; Temporary

Pay: $40/hr to $50/hr, depending on experience
Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description - Duties include but are not limited to:
- Helps treat patients of all ages and promotes good oral health practices
- Creates a welcoming and soothing environment for every patient
- Conducts initial oral screenings
- Cleans and helps protect patients' teeth (e.g. removing plaque or applying fluoride)
- Helps dentists decide treatments for teeth or gum diseases and handle dental emergencies
- Sterilizes dental instruments properly
- Take X-rays or dental impressions
- Maintains documentation and charts on each patient
- Monitors supplies
Position Requirements:
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- 2 step tb screening
- Immunization records Hep B MMR VAR
- BLS certification
- Valid license to practice
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
- Outstanding communication skills
- A patient and friendly personality
- Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail
