About this Role // The Systems Support Specialist will assist the IT Manager with projects and company-wide support of workstations and IT provided services. This includes but is not limited to; problem recognition, research isolation, resolution and follow-up steps. Requires experience and understanding of office I/T environments and the ability to resolve less complex problems immediately, while managing more complex problems through resolution. This role requires that you live in OR or SW WA.

What You’ll Do // Primary tasks will include providing daily help desk support for approximately 100 remote users. Additional tasks will include the following:

  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot company’s computer systems and peripherals.
  • Support corporate applications including O365 & Atlassian Suites.
  • Setup user accounts, mailboxes and computer workstations for new employee hires, as well as process any employee departures.
  • Evaluate hardware and software needs and make recommendations for purchases.
  • Maintaining and establishing relationships with external vendors.
  • Manage software and asset library.
Requirements:

What You Bring // In addition to a positive attitude, a desire to learn and a passion for what you do, the ideal candidate will also have the following traits and skills:

  • BA in Computer Information Systems or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Thorough working knowledge of both Mac OS X and Windows operating systems.
  • Solid knowledge of core applications (MS Office, Adobe CC) for both Mac/Win.
  • Understanding of hardware configuration, potential issues and proper settings.
  • Tenacious attitude toward problem solving troubleshooting.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiencies within the organization.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to new technologies.
  • Capable of working independently with limited supervision.

Bonus Skills // In addition to the skills and experience above, you’ll really stand out if you have an understanding of the following areas:

  • Mac hardware experience/certification.
  • Experience with hosted/VOIP telephony systems, and call center software.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory.
  • Experience with O365 administration.
  • Exposure to WLAN administration.
  • Firewall administration.
  • Mail server administration.
  • Understanding of anti-virus and security technologies.
  • Ability to work with users of all skill levels and technical experience.
  • Experience with data backup and recovery procedures.
