The Florida Safety Council is looking for a full-time DUI Evaluator to join our team. 30-40 hours per week. Schedule is flexible.

We are the HSMV licensed DUI Program that serves Brevard, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. Our mission is to reduce preventable injuries and save lives through highly effective safety and health training, professional testing and monitoring. We promote safety in every phase of life: in the home, on the road, in schools, businesses, industrial facilities and government.

Essential job duties:

  • Conduct risk assessments of students enrolled in the DUI Program to determine the level of risk for reoffending.
  • Complete the assessment and related documents as directed by HSMV adopted forms and FSC documents.
  • Present your disposition and explain the referral process if applicable.
  • Provide Special Supervision Service appointments and Ignition Interlock Violation appointments (case management-like)
  • Staff applicable cases with a Clinical Supervisor.
  • Attend face-to-face Clinical Supervision sessions with a DHSMV certified Clinical Supervisor, and other clinical meetings as scheduled.
  • Validate client folders by reviewing correspondence from treatment providers, the courts, and DHSMV.
  • Provide written detailed information covering each evaluation in the student file folder.
  • Attend DHSMV approved pre-service training and subsequent Continuing Education Courses, provided by FSC, to maintain certifications.

Minimum Requirements:

MUST meet the following qualifications as established by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in the field of Human Services or related field.
  • Be able to document three years or 4,000 hours of direct experience in the field of chemical dependency direct services.
  • Master's Degree may be substituted for 2,000 hours of experience
  • Windows-based computer typing experience
