Salida Starpoint is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to HAVE FUN, LAUGH, and SMILE while supporting people with developmental disabilities to lead self-directed, meaningful lives.

Job Responsibilities:

• HAVE FUN building relationships and supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live the lives they want to live as independently as possible.
• See people SMILE every day by providing activities to bring joy to their lives.
• LAUGH as you enjoy assisting people to learn new skills/techniques throughout the day.
• Assist people by connecting them with resources to gain employment if desired.
• COACH life skills in areas such as employment, money management, sex education, and relationship-building.
• HELP people meet their basic needs.
• Part-time and full-time opportunities.

Compensation:

Starting pay: $17.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to transport clients in your vehicle, when needed.
• Must be 18 years or older
• Able to perform the physical demands of the position may include but are not limited to:
• Carry 50+ pounds,
• Push/pull 100+ pounds,
• Able to stand/walk for 4+ hours a day.
• Due to the nature of the work performed at Starpoint, and that this position works with an at-risk population, we do require criminal background and driving record checks to be completed.
