JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Island Pacific Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care for clients in their own home. The Registered Nurse (RN) must have excellent patient care, communication skills and commitment to deliver the highest quality health care to our clients. The responsibilities of Registered Nurse (RN) include observation, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of nursing care plans for clients. Other duties may include educating patients and their families about proper treatments, administering prescribed medications, gastric tube, ventilator, and tracheostomy care.

• Please Note: This posting/ position is for part-time for the following day and times: Sundays 5:00am - 5:00pm (12 hour shift). This client requires "Total Care" to include bed bath and personal care.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide Skilled Nursing services to clients

· Assess client’s condition during every visit and chart your observations, and report any changes

· Perform evaluation tasks, including vital signs and medication review

· Administer medication as prescribed by physician

· Dress or redress open wounds and assess progress of healing

· Following up with, executing, and properly documenting Dr.’s orders

· Educate clients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures

· Coordinate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians and anyone else involved in the client’s care plan

· Listen to the patient and respond to concerns or requests

· Abide by all Federal, State and Hospital laws, regulations and guidelines

· Following HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of client information

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

· Current State of Hawaii RN license

· Valid CPR and First Aid certification

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

· Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English

· Ability to understand medical/surgical terminology

· Flexible work schedule
