Stars & Risk Adjustment Provider Education - Remote (Dallas, Fort Worth, Irving, or Plano, Texas)

Core Responsibilities:
The provider educator serves as primary contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clinical Documentation Integrity and ICD-10-CM coding for assigned markets and providers.
Drives improvements to support coding/documentation accuracy across Medicare Risk Adjustment programs through Provider Education.
Responsible for building and maintaining positive, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Implementation of office-based ICD-10 CM coding education for both providers and staff.
Responsible for identifying and influencing adoption of resources and processes for attaining risk adjustment and quality goals of assigned organizational entity partners.
Review of office ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding, allied data with emphasis on trends & documentation patterns per provider.
Attendance at regular professional development trainings including risk adjustment and quality meetings both in-house and outside Cigna Organization.

Requirements:
Must have at least one of the following Certifications from either AHIMA or AAPC
Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC)
Certified Coding Specialist for Providers (CCS-P)
Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP)
Registered Health Information Management Technician (RHIT)
Minimum of 3-5 years of risk adjustment coding and clinical documentation experience
