This role in summary

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Inspector. This role is for our Fall River, MA location. This role will be responsible for final product, sub-assemblies and parts inspection; ensuring those meet our customer and engineering requirements. Inspection made with measurement equipment, visual checks and testing.
Data register and problem solving activities in order to improve our manufacturing processes.

Hourly Pay Rate: $21.25

Shift: 1st (6:45am-3:15pm) overtime & Saturday work as needed

Your responsibilities will include

• Capable of identifying all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations and dispose according to established process
• Inspect, test, measure materials and products in production or already completed
• Read blueprints, SOPs and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
• Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
• Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
• Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and record performance
• Checking the production process.
• Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner using WCM tools.
• Capture data in spreadsheets and manage basic data bases
• WHR Google excel - sheet
• SAP - Scrap & Access
• Support improvement activities for quality, delivery, cost and safety as well as continuous improvement through Kaizen.
• Training and assisting in troubleshooting quality issues. Quick kaizen, QEWOs, WCM methodology
• Support activities as requested
• Maintain a quality system in working order. TV, computer, boards, 5S
• Train and lead inspectors and/or auditors
• Must complete all necessary reporting and required paperwork.
• Recognize and define problems, collect data, and develop conclusions.
• Will lift up to 25lb

Minimum requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing
