Position Purpose:

The Provider Contracts Administrator assists with development and maintenance of all physician contracts through working with leadership, oversight of contract negotiations, and provider relationship development.
Key Responsibilities
- Administers contract implementations, work processes, and quality assurance initiatives necessary to accurately configure, implement, and carry out financial and non-financial contract terms.
- Monitors strategic plan for key milestones and works with leadership to ensure initiatives are met within specific timeliness.
- Assists in the maintenance and development of strategy and financial reporting requirements, as needed.
- Works with Medical Staff, management, and senior leadership to develop and implement standardized provider agreements.
- Negotiates, analyzes, and implements provider agreements, proposed fee schedules, financial terms, and contract language within established guidelines.
- Ensures successful implementation of new agreements and problem solves current agreements.
- Develops and executes contracting strategies for hospital, health system, and physician contracts that support the clinical, programmatic, and financial goals of the organization.
- Utilizes standardized system(s) to track contract negotiation activity on an ongoing basis.
- Work with leadership and HR to strategize and prioritize provider recruitment.
- Communicates results of information gathered, trends, concepts, and processes to facilitate education, problem resolution, and operational improvement.
- Maintain positive working relationships with providers.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement methodologies.
- Assists in developing presentation materials for internal and external meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or similar degree, or four years of extensive provider contracting experience to include hospital contracting
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to exercise mature and sound judgement
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to analyze data and report concise, accurate reports
- Ability to work confidently with Chief Executives and other senior individuals

Education: Master’s degree

Exposure Categories: Category III: Expected duties do not have potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
Work Requirements
- Must be able to sit for 5 – 6 hours daily, either at a desk or at a computer terminal.
- Must be able to speak clearly in front of a group of people, and to remain calm during any undesirable interactions or demands of the position.
- Uses telephone often - must be able to hear and speak clearly by telephone.
- Must be able to meet frequent deadlines and tight schedules with a large number of staff.
