Hiring a Property Accountant for a permanent role in Kissimmee FL
Compensation:
Qualifications:
- Responsible for Full Cycle Accounting tasks.
- Core functions include accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliation, depreciation/amortization/prepaid schedules.
- Manage coding per property on invoice submittal and monitor workflows.
- Onboard new vendors onto the vendor portal and communicate on required documentation.
- Assist with setting up new leases in system and onboarding tenants onto the tenant portal while offering guidance and navigation.
- Prepare monthly financial package, specially preparing supporting workpapers and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure all reporting is accurate and in accordance with US GAAP standards.
- Manage monthly document support from vendors and tenants as required per lease.
- Assist in monthly and year-to-date budget vs. actual variance analysis.
- Work in conjunction with operation teams in daily operations and assist as needed.
- Follow-up on open items and communicate with team on roadblocks and challenges to overcome.
- Offer suggestions on streamlining processes and available options on improving efficiency.
- Gather audit support as requested and manage proper support each month-end close.
- Document internal controls and follow company accounting policies.
- Assist the Controller and retail team with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years related real estate/property accounting experience.
- Strong excel and analytical skills
