We seek a full-time Program Coordinator to join our Health and Wellness Team. The Program Coordinator directs services and supervision of a Senior LGBTQIA+ Liaison (Peer) to obtain referrals and provide case management/reentry support to participants who identify as LGBTQIA+ and have criminal legal involvement, primarily in the Bronx but also in Brooklyn and Harlem. This position reports to the VP of Health and Wellness and provides direct services.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Provide regular supervision to the Senior LGBTQIA+ Liaison that focuses on engagement, health education, advocacy, and data recording
  • Design and implement a case management service plan based on participants' needs, including accompanying participants on appointments as needed
  • Ensure that staff recruits for group participants (including flyers and networking), prepares topics and schedules for groups
  • Thoroughly document all service-related work and supervise the Senior LGBTQIA+ Liaison to ensure their documentation is complete and correct
  • Coordinate with funders, program staff, and Program Analyst to ensure that the program goals and reporting requirements are being met or exceeded
  • Co-supervise a shared program assistant who supports the program
  • Support the development staff in shaping relevant grant proposals and government and private funding sources
  • Provide case management to participants while maintaining timely deadlines
  • Regularly required to travel amongst Osborne's program sites in Brooklyn and Harlem, and Queensboro Correctional Facility

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Social Work, or related field

Experience

  • A minimum of three years of progressively responsible program/service management experience in a social service agency or association
  • Non-profit experience is strongly preferred, with a deep commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community and an understanding of the criminal justice environment
  • Computer literate with strong database management skills

  • Ability to manage time and adjust quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Trauma-informed perspective is a must.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
