ARMA-Global is currently pursuing a qualified candidate to serve as a Network Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME), on the Architecture, Networking and Engineering team who designs, develops, engineers, researches, tests and evaluates new and emerging technologies for potential integration into Special Warfare programs. Functional area includes, but not limited to: IT Networks, Airborne Mission Networking, Radio Frequency Transport, Enterprise Architectures, and Systems of Systems Projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Network Engineer SME the candidate will work closely with a team of dedicated multi-disciplined professionals in supporting customer mission objectives. You'll be responsible for working with coworkers, partners, stakeholders and customer representatives to create effective solutions, providing support to organizational Development & Engineering projects, delivering next-generation technologies across a wide-range of services and emerging capabilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires a highly experienced and working knowledge of information systems and networking technologies
Expert knowledge of Development, Engineering, Integration & Testing of new network (terrestrial and airborne) technologies
Extensive Development and Engineering experience with respect to global transport networks for mission critical services
Practical experience integrating terrestrial networks with RF, SATCOM and Airborne networks to include the use of network diagnostic tools to verify network performance
Proficient in virtualization technologies, scripting, multicast routing configurations, global transport infrastructures and services
Strong expertise and familiarization with implementing, configuring, troubleshooting Firewalls, VPNs, Switches, Routers
Strong familiarization with Boundary Security Services and technologies including but not limited to ASA’s, Palo Alto, Barracuda, Sidewinders and out-of-band management best practices
Strong understanding of DoD Cyber Security standards including Security Technical Implementation Guides, SCAP, Risk Management Framework
Ability to deconstruct and interpret technical requirements supporting team projects
Experience with developing architecture drawings IAW DoDAF requirements
Experience with SysML general-purpose modeling language (Highly Desired)
Must be able to interpret specifications, troubleshoot and create resilient, reliable, cost-effective solutions that enable end user outcomes to be realized
Excellent communication skills are a must to facilitate stakeholder briefings
Education, Certification and Experience Requirements:
A/BS or equivalent experience Plus 8+ years providing critical transport and network engineering/administration services
Combined DoD and Commercial industry IT experience is highly preferred
The candidate must have the following certification:
Must have a Secret Clearance to begin work and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance
