Medical Assistant

Employees in this position may be eligible for up to $5,000 in grant-funded tuition or loan assistance


Facilitate client care delivery by supporting nurses, medical providers, and the clinical team in both clinical and administrative capacities. The Medical Assistant in this position will provide support with medication management for patients who use automated medication dispensers, coordinate with external medical providers and pharmacies, obtain vital signs and verify medication lists, and assist RN's with training caregivers on safe medication administration practices and patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Triage and manage patient questions
  • Prepare patients for office and/or telehealth visits
  • Obtain vital signs & verify medication lists
  • Communicate medical/health information between patients and medical providers
  • Manage lab results
  • Supports use of office, electronic health record, and other technology by program staff
  • Maintains departmental records

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program
  • One year of Medical Assistant experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Structure:

  • Union
  • Full-time (37.5 hours)
  • Annual salary starting at $42,604.38
  • We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
