MES Group Operations Manager

Candidates must have prior MES engineering experience.

The MES Group Operations Manager is a high-level manager position that is responsible for project delivery, technical sales, and operational results for one of Avanceon's business units. Our ideal candidate is an experienced MES engineer, preferably with a System Integration background, that can work in a fast-paced environment and that can manage both the day-to-day demands of the business unit while creating and executing a strategy for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery Oversight - Oversee, mentor, and support project teams to ensure technical, commercial, and customer success for the business unit's projects.
  • Operational Results - Develop and execute plans to achieve revenue and profitability results
  • People Care - Ensure, directly or through Team Leads, associate satisfaction through relationships, mentorship and feedback, and career planning
  • Account Management Support - Collaborate with Account Manager to create and implement strategies for account expansion and opportunity identification and wins.
  • Technical Sales - Support sales activities by creating proposals and cost estimates, participating in customer calls, site visits, and strategy meetings, and training and mentoring other engineers to also fill a technical sales role.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as an MES engineer with a progressive career path, including roles in leadership, management, and/or mentorship.
  • Genuine interest in the growth and success of team members and customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster collaborative relationships with your teammates and customers.
  • Written and verbal communication must be confident, articulate, and professional

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple priorities, and successfully balance the needs of the business, our customers, and our people.
