Summary
Wire-Bond is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician/Technician. This position is responsible for performing maintenance work requiring a general knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles. Makes mechanical and electrical repairs to all types of equipment, building and plant facilities.
Functions and Essential Duties:
- Performs, mechanical and electrical repairs in all departments
- Interprets drawings and sketches, plans and determines working procedure
- Performs work requiring a thorough working knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles and techniques
- Performs minor building repair and maintenance of an electrical/mechanical nature
- Uses precision measuring equipment, electrical instrumentation and safety equipment
- Troubleshooting electrical systems and their components with or without schematics
- Capable of conducting an analysis of electrical and mechanical malfunctions
- Adhere to and follow company’s health and safety policies and procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform additional responsibilities and assignments as directed by management
Education and Required Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience as electrician in manufacturing setting required
- Proficient knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components required
- High School Diploma or GED required, certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate well with management and fellow employees
- All applicants must have steady work history with a good attendance record
- Must have the ability to read, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication to accomplish responsibilities and tasks
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check will be required as a condition of employment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs during a shift
- Must be able to meet physical demands including standing for extend periods, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching, up to 8/10 hours a day
